They really said it all, but I'll summarize by just echoing, this is a classic long-standing SF establishment that really does serve not only delicious comforting Italian American cuisine, but also a certain kind of nostalgia that's difficult to describe more succinctly than that episode did. I'm really glad to have had the chance to take my mother-in-law and father as they LOVED it; but also new and old friends alike. ”

They got several large parties all at once (our table had 12). So, service was a bit slow and not as attentive as in the past. It is still a great place to celebrate a birthday or just to have a quiet dinner. ”
